Biography

Dr. Ekaterini Antonellou is the director of the Implant Dentistry Program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM). She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. She has been a faculty member since 1998 and served as clinical and preclinical Director of Fixed Prosthodontics and course director for five different courses in the undergraduate program from 2004 to 2017. Dr. Antonellou holds her D.D.S. degree from Athens, Greece and her D.M.D. degree from TUSDM. She also received both her M.S. degree in Dental Science and her Advanced Education Certificate in Prosthodontics from TUSDM.

Dr. Antonellou has served on multiple committees at the school. She is currently the chair of the ADEA Special Interest Group in Implants and a member of the Digital Curriculum Task force for the American College of Prosthodontics. She has been an advisor to masters students and lectures to both the undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her research interests include the clinical outcome of prosthodontic dental interventions, application of CADCAM technologies to dental care and biomechanical aspects of dental implants. She has presented both nationally and internationally and is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Education Association and the International College of Prosthodontics.
