What to expect before your first visit

  • As a teaching institution, we offer a unique and comprehensive care setting. During the first adult patient visit, we provide a screening and take necessary X-rays. The second visit is a comprehensive oral exam. Your dental treatment plan will then determine the number of appointments that will be needed to complete your procedure(s) and may involve multiple students.

Pediatric visits take less time and fewer sessions, depending on the treatment.

  • Our faculty-student teams take time to really listen and assess your needs. It’s part of the teaching process, where you will benefit from the expert opinions of multiple, experienced dental professionals and specialists.

Pediatric visits often take much less time. Talk to your pediatric dental provider so you can plan ahead.

  • Payment is due at the time of the appointment. This includes co-payments, co-insurances, or full payment for patients without insurance.

Our prices are lower than most private practices, which makes us a great option for patients who either do not have insurance or want to make their insurance coverage go further.
