Biography

Dr. Kim was born and raised in South Korea, but she has been living in different parts of the world since the age of sixteen. After completing high school in New Zealand and college in British Columbia, she received Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim travelled to many different places and she appreciates and enjoys cultural diversity.

Dr. Kim is a Board certified Periodontist who values learning as a lifelong journey. After dental school, she completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the Southcove community health center in Boston. Dr. Kim was fascinated by how gingiva heals after proper treatments, so she entered and completed periodontal residency at Tufts University.

Dr. Kim currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she enjoys teaching and mentoring dental students. She also practices in several private practices to provide periodontal treatments. Dr. Kim is a mother of two active girls who keep her busy outside of dentistry.
