Biography
Dr. Shibani Sahni BDS, MMSc, is Assistant Professor of Comprehensive Care and the Director of CE/Center of Lifelong Learning and Distance Education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Sahni has done her Masters in Dental Education from Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and her postgraduate-dip in Restorative dentistry from Adelaide Dental School in Australia. She is an alum of Harvard Macy and has done Innovation in Healthcare and Education Program for Leading Innovations In health Care and Education and Health Care education transforming your teaching for the digital age from Harvard Medical school. She is a thought leader and has advanced education training in Leadership by Design from MIT Sloan Executive Education. She has also done Career advancement and Leadership skills for women in Healthcare from Harvard Medical School and trained for Leadership Strategies for Evolving Health care Executives from Harvard Chan School.
Dr. Sahni is a dedicated and passionate teacher, she was a full time faculty at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she lead for the Scholar's in Dental education program for the DMD students who are interested in perusing their carrier in Dental Education and academic dentistry. She was involved in both the MMSc program as a mentor and faculty, and in the predoctoral DMD program as a clinical educator and course Director of Diagnosis and Treatment Planning course at HSDM.
Dr Sahni is an extremely talented and accomplished dentist with over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She has had extensive experience in various areas of dentistry, including dental process improvements, dental procedures' advancement and quality assurance programs. As owner of her own practice, she has also had experience with business operations and strategies.
Dr. Sahni has made a great impact in the dental industry in the last 20 in the fields of business management, technology development, research and academics.
She continues to make a difference both nationally and internationally and is collaborating with other countries, specialists and industry leaders, locally, nationally, and internationally for the constant improvement of the profession in benefit of patient care.
Dr Sahni is looking into the future and is helping create educational programs to understand the use of Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry, its current trends, use and its future direction.
