I started my dental training in Turkey, earning a dental degree in 1991 and completing prosthodontics specialty training in 1994. I moved to the United States in 1994 and continued my studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to complete a license program (DMD), fellowships in Craniomandibular Disorders and Implant Dentistry, and a certificate program in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree,
As an educator I taught more than 4000 predoctoral dental students and 40 postgraduate residents through clinical supervision, lectures, and workshops. Currently, I am the course director for Implant Dentistry, and I continue to teach in the prosthodontics department in predoctoral, and postgraduate divisions (prosthodontics certificate program and esthetic dentistry fellowship). I am also deeply involved with curriculum digitalization efforts within the school and I supervise the predoctoral CAD/CAM clinic.
I represented the dental school faculty at University Faculty Senate in 2017 I have served in various dental school committees including Executive Faculty Committee, Technology Committee, Research Committee, Digital Dentistry Committee and Implant Committee.

I have also worked as a staff prosthodontist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Medical Center for 9 years and served as the chief of service of the dental clinic for two years prior to switching to private practice.
As a practicing prosthodontist, I strive to improve my patients' oral health related quality of life and approach all dental needs with the same professional attitude regardless of their complexity. Combining my experience in diagnosis and treatment planning with my clinical skillset, I tailor specific plans for each of all patients. I focus on replacing missing teeth, restoring damaged teeth/worn-down dentitions, and improving function and esthetics using dental implants, traditional and digital technologies, and fixed or removable prostheses.
