Updated 1/24/26 at 7pm

The university (all campuses) will be closed beginning at 12pm on Sunday, January 25 through Monday, January 26.

As communicated earlier by Tufts University, all campuses of Tufts University will be closed beginning at 12pm on Sunday, January 25 through January 26 due to the snow. Although the University is closing at noon tomorrow, the city of Boston has declared a state of emergency starting at 8am. Therefore, the dental school will not be open at all tomorrow and will be closed effective at 9pm tonight. This will ensure everyone’s safety and will allow building personnel to make sure all systems are prepared for the snow and the cold temperatures.

FACULTY:  Please communicate with your students on how the impacted didactic, preclinical and rotations sessions will be impacted.

STAFF:  Please let your immediate supervisors know if the shutdown will affect any critical operations including if next-day operations might be affected by the shutdown.

STUDENTS:  Please follow the instructions from respective course and rotation directors on how the impacted sessions will be managed. Externship schedules are managed by the externship sites and not TUSDM.

CLINICS: All clinics have been cancelled for Monday’s AM, PM, and Evening sessions. Patients who have appointments scheduled for Monday will be notified by text and email communications. If you are a resident or student dentist, please follow up with your January 26 patients to reschedule as soon as possible.
