Biography
Dr. Huda Stipho is an accomplished prosthodontist and educator. An associate professor in the prosthodontic department at TUSDM and full time faculty member since 1999, she teaches fixed, removable, implant and CAD/CAM and she is nicknamed by her students as the queen of removable prosthodontics. She has been advisor and principal investigator for a postgraduate student's masters degree.
Dr. Stipho received her dental degree from the Dental School of Baghdad University, Iraq, trained and specialized in prosthodontics at the Welsh National School of Medicine, Cardiff, UK where she also earned her MScD in prosthodontics and served for two years. She lectured nationally and internationally and published several articles recognized in several journals and acted as scientific reviewer for the journals.
Dr. Stipho joined King Saud University in 1978 at Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia and the first dental school in that country. Dr. Stipho participated in establishing this dental school through teaching and developing clinical programs.
Dr. Stipho was appointed to the chair of the prosthodontic department where she was the first woman dentist who taught the male gender directly in a very religious and conservative environment. She was principal instructor for several pre-clinical and clinical courses and was very well respected by her students, colleagues and the administration. She received many recognitions and awards from the university for her leadership role. Internationally, she received the key of success award in medical science and was recognized in Who's Who in the World.
Dr. Stipho was an active member of the European Dental Society, British Dental Society, Saudi Dental Society and American College of Prosthodontics,IADR .
Dr. Stipho's interest is focused on research in dental materials, new technology and providing good oral healthcare services to patients that makes sense to provide patient happiness and satisfaction. She is an expert in fixed and removable protheses to better improve esthetics, function and comfort for patients through both traditional and digital technology techniques.
