Biography

Dr. Francesca Bonino is a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology. She holds a DMD from Boston University, a postgraduate certificate in Periodontology from Tufts and a Master of Science degree from Tufts.
Dr. Bonino teaches clinical periodontology in the undergraduate and postgraduate clinics. She is also the co-director of the classic literature review course for the postgraduate periodontal residents, and is involved in clinical and educational research. Her main research interests are soft tissue around dental implants, peri-implant disease, and patient-reported outcomes of treatment.
Dr. Bonino maintains a private practice limited to periodontology and dental implants. Dr. Bonino is a member of the American Association of Dental Research (AADR), American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), American Dental Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS).
