Tufts Professor Pamela C. Yelick Elected President of the International Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research

BOSTON, MA – Pamela C. Yelick, Ph.D., Director of the Division of Craniofacial and Molecular Genetics, and Professor in the Department of Basic, Clinical and Translational Sciences at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM), has been elected the 102nd President of the International Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research (IADR)—the world’s largest organization dedicated to advancing dental, oral, and craniofacial research.
The IADR unites more than 10,000 members across 100 countries in its mission to drive scientific discovery and improve global health. Dr. Yelick officially began her term as President at the Annual IADR Meeting in Barcelona, Spain, in June 2025.
An internationally recognized leader in craniofacial genetics, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine, Dr. Yelick is widely acclaimed for pioneering research in dental tissue and whole-tooth engineering.

Since joining the IADR in 1993, Dr. Yelick has made significant contributions through scientific presentations, leadership roles in symposia and awards programs, and service as Treasurer of the American Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research, 2013–2016.
As IADR President, Dr. Yelick plans to focus on:
- Advancing global oral and systemic health
- Expanding engagement of students and early-career scientists
- Driving innovation in dental, oral, and craniofacial research worldwide

About Dr. Pamela C. Yelick
Dr. Yelick earned her B.A. from Smith College and Ph.D. from Tufts University. She completed postdoctoral training at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard University before joining the Forsyth Institute, where she served for 14 years. She has been a faculty member at Tufts since 2006, where she continues to lead cutting-edge research in craniofacial biology and regenerative medicine.
