Predental Day

Visiting students at predental day

The Tufts chapters of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), in collaboration with the Office of Admissions, host an annual Predental Day for undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, or graduate students each spring. Due to the current coronavirus, we will be hosting this event virtually this year.

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is the voice of dental education. Its members include all U.S. and Canadian dental schools and many allied and advanced dental education programs, corporations, faculty and students. The mission of ADEA is to lead individuals and institutions of the dental education community to address contemporary issues influencing education, research and the delivery of oral health care for the health of the public.

The American Student Dental Association (ASDA) was established in 1971 to represent, serve, and support the needs and interests of dental students. As a national professional organization, ASDA provides a forum for the expression of dental student concerns. ASDA currently has more than 14,000 predoctoral members at each of the 55 U.S. dental school chapters.

Predental day will be a half-day event where those interested in the dental field will be able to expand their knowledge about what lies ahead on the dental career path. During the day students will be provided with information about the application process and learn about life in dental school directly from current students. Visitors will be able to interact with students throughout the Zoom event.

When: Saturday, April 18, 2020, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Where: Zoom event (Meeting information will be sent after registraton)
