Biography

After earning her dental degree in Taiwan in 1998, Dr. Yu underwent training as a general practice/prosthetic resident at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan before embarking on research training. She successfully completed her research training in Dental Informatics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2005. Driven by her fervent interest in periodontal disease, she later attained her Certificate in Periodontology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2015.

Dr. Yu joined Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. Currently, she plays an active role in educating pre-doctoral students and post-graduate residents at the clinic, while simultaneously contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of periodontal disease. Dr. Yu's extensive contributions to the field of dentistry are further exemplified by her numerous peer-reviewed article publications and national recognitions for her achievements in teaching and research. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Yu holds the prestigious title of Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and provides specialized patient care in Periodontics within a private practice setting.
