Biography
Dr. Olympia Karacosta is an Associate Professor at Tufts University in the Department of Comprehensive Care. Dr. Karacosta received her first dental degree, D.D.S., from the University of Athens, Greece, School of Dental Medicine. She was then accepted into the Esthetic Dentistry Fellowship Program at Tufts University, where she completed her studies. In 2007, she received her second dental degree, D.M.D., from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and that same year, she completed the Implant Dentistry Fellowship at the Implant Center at Tufts University. In 2013, she began teaching in the Postgraduate Program in Advanced Education in Esthetics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Karacosta practiced in a private dental practice in Athens, Greece, before coming to the US. She has been practicing privately in Boston since 2007.
Dr. Karacosta has been a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association. She became an Affiliate member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) and a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) in 2019.
She has been the Communication Officer of the USA ITI Section and YITI Delegate since May 2022.
She consistently attends national and international dental meetings related to Esthetic Dentistry and Implants. She has been delivering continuing education courses related to Esthetic Dentistry and has also presented at dental meetings focused on esthetic and implant dentistry.
She has a passion for Esthetic Dentistry and for offering the best quality dentistry for her patients. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming, and photography.
