Biography

Originally from Upstate NY, Dr Newman practiced as a dental hygienist for over a decade before attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine graduating in 2008. While at Tufts she was the class representative for the Ethics and Professionalism committee, received the Pauline Fuller Persons Scholarship in 2007, and The Altshuler Family Prize for ethics in 2008.

When not at Tufts, Dr Newman has private practice in Plaistow, NH, and lives with her husband and two Shetland Sheepdogs in Atkinson, NH.

Dr Newman is on the Dental Identification Team for New Hampshire, a volunteer group of dental professionals that assist medical examiners with the identification of unidentified deceased individuals.

In 2024, she completed the Forensic Dentistry Program through McGill University and is working toward board certification in the American Board of Forensic Odontology (ABFO). She is a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology (ASFO), and the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Dental Association, as well as the New Hampshire Dental Society.

This July, in Montreal, Dr Newman will receive her Mastership award through the Academy of General Dentistry.
