Biography

David S. Paul, D.M.D. is an Associate Professor and Lead Practice Coordinator in the Department of Comprehensive Care. He has been a TUSDM faculty member since 1990, first in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, and as a Practice Coordinator since 1999. He is a native of Lexington, MA and earned his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University. Dr. Paul received his D.M.D. from Tufts in 1989, before completing a General Practice Residency at Boston City Hospital, and then maintained a private practice in Concord, Massachusetts for many years. He holds memberships in the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Education Association.

Dr. Paul is very active in International Public Health, having lectured both nationally and internationally. He volunteers much of his time, serving those in need. To date, he has led more than twenty Medical/Dental teams into some of the poorest, and most underserved countries, such as Haiti, Nicaragua, Zambia, and the Dominican Republic. Since 2005 Dr. Paul has served on the Board of Directors for Help Mercy International and also directed TUSDM's Nicaragua Community Service Learning Experience from 2005-2013. Dr. Paul's most recent collaboration with the Nashoba Valley Rotary resulted in the building of the first and only Mobile Dental Clinic in the Dominican Republic.
