Research/Areas of Interest:

Dr. Sachdeo's interests predominantly lie in looking at intra-oral biofilm formation and development in the edentulous population. I am interested in studying the influence of bulk fluid, different surfaces, location and genetic background of individuals on the growth, colonization and re-colonization of bacterial biofilms on soft-tissues and hard-tissues (dentures) of the edentate. My hope is to eventually identify the co-relation between the oral microbiota found in the edentulous and various systemic diseases for the same population.
