New Dr. Leonard J. Carapezza Education Fund for Residents and Faculty in Pediatric Dentistry Supports Advanced Training
The new Dr. Leonard J. Carapezza Education Fund for Residents and Faculty in Pediatric Dentistry will support senior pediatric dentistry residents and faculty seeking advanced training in the early treatment of malocclusion. This fund enables eligible individuals to attend a certified educational program focused on early intervention techniques for malocclusion, helping to advance clinical expertise and improve patient outcomes.
“There is a certain amont of basic knowledge necessary to enter this profession, but there is also a deeper pool of learning that is obtained through experience and maturity. Dental education as an ongoing process is part of a professional dentist’s philosophy and indeed a challenging thrust toward the goals of the future,” said Leonard J. Carapezza, D.M.D., retired associate clinical professor, Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
