The Advanced General Dentistry (AGD) Clinic provides complex dental treatments with expertise in meeting the needs of all patients, including those with advanced medical needs.
Unlike the Comprehensive Care Clinic with care provided by predoctoral dental students, the AGD Clinic is staffed by postdoctoral dental residents in our General Practice Residency and Advanced Education in General Dentistry programs, trained for more complex care. Residents work with supervising faculty for a team-based approach to your dental care.
Our Services
The AGD Clinic offers comprehensive dental care including:
- Routine dental exams
- Dental cleanings
- Fillings
- Crowns
- Bridges
- Root canals
- Gum surgery
- Dentures
- Dental implant restorations
- Select surgical dental implant placements and implant restorations
- Consultants to dental specialty services (e.g., braces, temporo-mandibular dysfunction [TMD])
- Prostheses (e.g., atrophic jaw bones, prosthetic jaw reconstruction related to cancer surgery, trauma, or congenital defects).
Expert and Thoughtful Care
We work hard to provide a comfortable and secure setting for every patient who comes to see us. Starting with a thorough intake process, we get to know each patient as an individual so that we can best serve your needs.
From our front office staff to our technicians, residents, and faculty dentists, everyone that works in our clinic has extensive training and experience with a wide variety of needs so that we can always be prepared to make our patients feel at ease.
What to Expect as a New Patient
You can check in on the 3rd floor at the front desk upon arrival.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to register. Please bring with you the following items:

Your first visit will be about 60 minutes long. During this time, you will receive a comprehensive dental evaluation and x-rays (if needed) and start to formulate a treatment plan that will work towards achieving your oral health goals.
