Tufts University of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) is proud of the achievements and accolades of our impressive student body. We take the time to pause, reflect, and recognize key moments in the educational path of our community, including at the start of their program, when they begin to apply their knowledge in the service of patients, and when they leave us to start their careers as leaders in dental health. Read more about the many ways we commemorate these critical moments.

Orientation

You did it! After all the years of hard work, you are now officially a TUSDM student. Before your classes begin and you get swept up in the rigors of your program, orientation will give you a chance to take a moment to appreciate this milestone as you sit among your new classmates. You’ll get practical information about schedules and classwork but can also look forward to advice from some of the experienced faculty and leadership who are there to support and mentor you through this phase of your dental journey. We welcome you to the community and wish you luck.

The garment is a symbol of the trust that exists between a patient and a healthcare provider and carries with it the weight and responsibility of that trust. We celebrate this moment and welcome you into this next exciting and important step of your professional life.
