Global leaders in oral health.

We train the world's dentists.

Greetings,

Since our founding in 1868, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine has prepared generations of dental professionals to lead in an ever-evolving health care landscape. As an accredited private dental school, we educate predoctoral students and postdoctoral residents through a comprehensive curriculum that combines rigorous scientific education, hands-on clinical training, and exposure to diverse dental specialties and practice settings, ultimately leading to expert oral health care for thousands of patients each year.

Our dynamic educational experience integrates the biomedical sciences with clinical care and leverages modern technology to prepare students for success in the 21st century. Guided by exceptional faculty and staff, our students learn in environments that value ethical practice, professionalism, discovery, and service. Together, we foster a culture dedicated to teaching, scholarship, research, community engagement, and patient-centered care.

For more than 150 years, Tufts Dental has helped shape the future of dental education and oral health care. Our graduates are recognized around the world for their clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to service. Through groundbreaking research and impactful community health initiatives, our faculty, students, and alumni continue to improve oral and overall health locally, nationally, and globally.

Located in the heart of Boston, our school serves a robust patient population, giving students invaluable clinical experience. Additional training opportunities at affiliated hospitals and externship sites across the country further enrich the educational journey and prepare graduates to excel in a wide range of professional settings.

At Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, excellence is more than a goal. It is the standard that guides everything we do. We are proud of our history, inspired by our mission, and excited about the future of dentistry.

Thank you for your interest in our school. If I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
