We can keep our fees as low as possible, while providing you with the highest standards of care. Although exact fees are determined at the time of service, our fees are often a fraction of the price of private practices. We are a great option for patients without insurance or those want to make their insurance coverage go further.
Transparency Matters to Us
We want our patients to have a great experience with us, without any hidden fees or unpleasant surprises. It’s important to understand that Tufts Dental School is a teaching facility, which means that our care teams include dentists-in-training. Student dentists work under the close supervision of faculty to provide patient care in our teaching clinics. How long a treatment takes and what exactly it will cost depends on the individual patients and the types of services they require.
In general, treatments provided by student dentists tend to require a significant time commitment for each visit, and treatment may extend over several months. It may involve multiple students based on the specifics of a personalized dental treatment plan.
- Treatment will take longer than outside dentists, and each appointment may last 2–3 hours
- Fees are generally 25–50% less than area specialists
- Full Mouth X-Rays cost $115 on the first appointment
- Comprehensive Oral Exams cost $76 on the second appointment
Specialty Teaching Clinics
We also offer a full range of Specialty Teaching Clinics. Dentists pursuing advanced degrees provide your care and can perform advanced treatments to address complex needs. Prices and policies vary, but fees are lower than area specialists found in private practice settings.
