Gain Experience, a Network, and Achievement
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers a one-year, pre-residency internship designed to immerse you in the full Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) experience. As an intern, you will be fully integrated into the residency program, taking on the same responsibilities and opportunities as a first-year resident in the four-year program. You will build your knowledge in the classroom, develop your skills through extensive clinical experience, and learn alongside residents and faculty committed to excellence in oral health.
Program Goals and Objectives
Our goal is to give each intern extensive experience in the clinical setting so that they will feel confident managing patients with oral and maxillofacial conditions. They will have top-quality exposure to outpatient oral surgical procedures across a wide range of conditions and get hands-on experience with anesthesia techniques including intravenous sedation. In addition to time in the clinic, interns will follow the comprehensive and rigorous academic schedule of the OMFS residents, learning with them and solidifying their network along the way.

The deadline for application to this one-year program is January 1 for consideration for matriculation on July 1 of the same year.
International students will be considered for this position and must fulfill the minimum score requirements for TOEFL (90) or IELTS (7.0).
