Application Information
Students enrolled in the DMD or Advanced Standing for Dental International Students (DIS) programs who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents of the United States can be considered for institutional needs-based grants and loans, other types of federal student loans and private education loans. International students may apply for private education loans but usually they must have a qualified U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident act as co-borrower. Both international students and domestic students enrolled in the DMD and DIS programs can also qualify for merit-based financial aid.
Although students are considered independent from their parents by federal definition, certain types of federal and needs-based institutional grant and loan programs require parental financial information in order to determine eligibility. The following information provides a summary of the financial aid programs available to DMD and DIS students.
Financial aid application procedures are outlined in the Financial Aid Manual. All financial aid applicants must read the manual prior to the completion of any application forms. Applicants can refer to the Financial Aid Application Checklist for a summary of the required forms as well.
Students who have completed the e-Consent for Communications Form can upload their financial aid application documents to our secure online Financial Aid Box Portal utilizing the link below. Students who do not provide the e-consent, are not eligible to upload documents to the portal. Please make sure the file(s) submitted includes the student’s name, program, class year, and doc name (e.g. Smith, John, DMD28, tax return)
