Frequently Asked Questions

The TUSDM Office of Continuing Education (CE) reserves the right to close registration once a course reaches its enrollment capacity. The Office also reserves the right to cancel or modify courses, including changes to course content or faculty, when necessary. If a course has been canceled, we will contact participants by the phone number and/or email address provided. Registrants will receive either a full refund or financial credit toward other courses for canceled courses.

TUSDM is not responsible for any travel-related expenses or other financial losses incurred by registrants as a result of a course cancellation.

If a CE course reaches enrollment capacity, a wait list may be established.

Please see the individual course refund policy in the course brochure.

To ensure a safe learning environment, all participants must follow TUSDM safety guidelines:

  • Protective Equipment: Appropriate clinical attire and protective eyewear are required. TUSDM provides disposable gowns, masks, and protective eyewear. Participants may bring their own lab coats and loupes.
  • Dress Code: Long pants, closed-toe shoes, and secured hair are required. Shorts, hats, open-toed shoes, and dangling jewelry are prohibited.
  • Hands-On Activities: Protective eyewear and masks must be worn during drilling or grinding. Gloves must not be worn when operating model trimmers or dental lathes.
  • Human Tissue: Participants handling human tissue are expected to be current with Hepatitis B vaccinations.
  • Learning Environment: Cell phones must be silenced to minimize disruptions.

All participants are expected to follow these safety requirements throughout the course.

Lunch is provided for all full-day courses unless otherwise noted in the course description. Please indicate any dietary restrictions during registration, and we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

TUSDM reserves the right to photograph or record participants during CE courses. By registering or attending, participants consent to the use of their images, recordings, and likenesses for educational, promotional, and other lawful purposes, with or without their names and without compensation. All such materials remain the exclusive property of Tufts University. However, participants have the right to refuse to be photographed.

Participants may not photograph or record course presentations, materials, or activities without prior permission from the Office of CE.
