Dr. Carolyn Cottrell has practiced dentistry in the United States, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. She served as a dentist through the Dorchester House for incarcerated youth. She is an Associate Clinical Professor in Clinical Operative in the Comprehensive Department. Dr. Cottrell has lectured Forensic Dentistry and Biological Terrorism at Tufts University Dental Medicine. She has lectured nationally and internationally on Forensics and Biological terrorism.
Dr. Cottrell served on the Tufts Faculty Senate, is a member of the Faculty Advisory Committee Admissions Interviewer, NERB Examiner, and Preclinical Director.
Dr. Cottrell is a Diplomat in the American Board of Forensic Examiners, Fellow Dean Robertson Society, and served in the Academy of Operative Dentistry as a Board Member.
Dr. Cottrell has a patent on a device for Sterilization of Manual and Electric Toothbrushes.
