Dr. Kostagianni is a full time faculty member in the Department of Prosthodontics and the course director of Craniofacial Function II. She is board eligible in prosthodontics and a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the Academy of Fixed Prosthdontics, and the Academy of Osseointegration. She is actively involved in research projects and has presented her work at several national dental meetings.
Dr. Kostagianni successfully completed a three-year dental residency program specializing in advanced prosthodontics at the University of Alabama and a one-year residency in prosthodontics and restorative dentistry at the VA hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Her concurrent active involvement in research earned her a Master’s of Science Degree in Dentistry. After completion of her specialty training she became an Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics Fellow at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry where she further enhanced her clinical skills in surgical implant dentistry and complex and highly esthetic implant restorations.
Dr. Aikaterini Kostagianni is a passionate clinician with a strong academic and clinical background committed to personalized and detail oriented treatment for her patients. She is currently a full time faculty member in the Department of Prosthodontics and specializes in comprehensive treatment as well as esthetics and smile design.
