The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) has over 11,000 members from more than 60 countries. It has 16 Divisions and six sections throughout the world, organized by geographic area. Divisions and Sections host their own scientific meeting annually, and offer additional program and networking opportunities.
The American Association for Dental Research (AADR) is the largest division of IADR, with over 5,000 members. The annual scientific meeting of the IADR is held jointly with the American and Canadian Divisions two out of three years, in March, at a North American venue. In addition, every third year, the IADR holds a separate meeting in June/July at an international venue. The meeting attracts 6,000 participants and is the single most important dental research meeting held annually worldwide. Abstracts from the meeting are published in a special issue of the Journal of Dental Research (JDR). The meeting consists or individual oral and poster presentations and symposia/workshops on topics of major interest to the scientific community. It is the ideal forum for the presentation of current dental and collateral research findings.
