Dr. Samuel Koo is a board certified Periodontist, a Fellow in Implant Dentistry (International Team of Implantology), and Director of Predoctoral Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Koo has a limited practice to implant dentistry and periodontics and he has extensive experience in advanced techniques for gum and bone grafts as well as dental implant therapy.

About Dr. Koo

Dr. Samuel Koo earned his dental degree at the University of Sao Paulo and completed a series of research degrees (Master of Sciences, M.S., Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Sao Paulo and Doctor of Medical Sciences, D.M.Sc., Harvard School of Dental Medicine) and advanced clinical certificate programs (Advanced Graduate Study in Implant Dentistry, Boston University; Fellow in Implant Dentistry, International Team of Implantology, Harvard School of Dental Medicine; and Certificate in Periodontology, Harvard School of Dental Medicine).

Currently, Dr. Samuel Koo is the Director of Predoctoral Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and he lectures extensively to dental students, residents and dentists around the world. He has been recognized as recipient of several prestigious awards from the American Academy of Periodontology and Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Brazilian Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Koo has authored multiple publications in journals and book chapters and also he serves as a reviewer for important Journals in Implant Dentistry.

Certain faculty members choose to house their private practice at the dental school. Although appointments are located at Tufts Dental School, this is not a teaching clinic. Our faculty practices and our teaching clinics are different, so policies and pricing vary.
