Dr. Spierings studied at the Faculty of Medicine of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.His postgraduate training consists of neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, and headache management.
He was board certified in neurology by the Royal Netherlands Medical Association in 1986. Dr. Spierings is an associate clinical professor in neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an associate clinical professor at the Craniofacial Pain Center at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Spierings has published more than 200 research and review articles and 12 books.
