Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) is currently in the process of transitioning to a new curriculum referred to as the 2020 Tufts Oral Health Curriculum.
One objective of the re-vision is to create an innovative forward looking dental education environment that is both fully integrated across all departments and vertically integrates all student levels. Another objective is to move more from Tufts current structure of knowledge, comprehension and application and moving the focus more towards following Bloom’s Taxonomy of higher order thinking skills: analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
To support faculty in this transition, TUSDM offers a wide variety of technology tools faculty can use for collaboration and instruction. Decisions are shaped by the objectives of the course and are based on faculty/course impact and workload. Academic Affairs has put together an analysis of the tools available and possible uses. If you are interested in discussing your course and how you might enhance student learning, please contact Jennipher Murphy to set-up a meeting and get you started.
