LEOPOLDO P. CORREA, B.D.S., M.S, Associate Professor, Division Head of Sleep Medicine and Director of the Dental Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his dental degree from the University of Veracruz in Mexico, and his Master’s Degree in Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders at Tufts University. Dr. Correa has treated sleep apnea and TMD patients for over 10 years at Tufts University with his mentor, Dr. Noshir R. Mehta. Dr. Correa helped to develop and incorporate the teaching of dental sleep medicine in the pre and postgraduate programs at TUSDM, resulting in Tufts becoming the first dental school in the U.S. to incorporate this field into its curriculum.
Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is offering a seminar that provides an overview of dental sleep medicine and how the everyday clinician can include this treatment option in their office.
This seminar will provide participants with the core information on all elements of dental sleep medicine including classification of sleep disorders, use of various oral appliances in treatment of patients with sleep disorders and critical elements for patient examination.
Participants of this course will leave with a better understanding of treatment options for these patients, along with suggestions of additional training for bringing this treatment option into your office.
