Lead the development and alumi relations operations for the School of Dental Medicine. Play a critical role in expanding revenues, communication and support of the Dental School. Work closely with the Dean and University Advancement to design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategey with the goal of increasing philanthropic suppor and alumni involvement.
A senior member of the staff in the division of University Advancement, Maria has served in progressively responsible roles in advancement over the course of 26 years. Under her leadership, the School of Dental Medicine has exceeded its fundraising goal as part of Tufts University’s Beyond Boundaries campaign. During this campaign, she has played a key role in securing the largest gifts in the school’s history ($4 and $5 million). In addition, the school received seven gifts in excess of a million dollars.
Ms. Tringale’s career began at Tufts in the Health Science Alumni Relations Department in January 1987 where she rose through the ranks and was promoted to Director in 1989. In 1998, she was named the Director of the Tufts Dental Fund and Alumni Relations. During her five year tenure, the Dental Fund grew 150%, exceeding established goals, and breaking the $1 million mark for the first time in history.
She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Planned Giving Group of New England, American Dental Education Association, Dental Philanthropy Network and Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
A graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges majoring in History, she and her husband Paul, A82, F01, reside in Medford, MA, with their three sons, Sebastian, Augustine and Theodore.
