When not in his office, Dr. Catrambone enjoys spending time with family and friends, teaching, traveling and the outdoors. I was the first person on both sides of my family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. For that I owe a debt of gratitude to my father who always encouraged me to make something of myself. He knew when I took every exam in college and, like clockwork, he would call on the phone booth phone on the dorm floor ( no cell phones then ) to find out what my grade was. I met my wife, Sophia in the seventh floor student lounge at Tufts Dental School in April of 1982 .I was in the second semester of my freshman year of dental school . Sophia was enrolled in the Northeastern University dental assistant program and she and her classmates came into Tufts Dental for practical experience. Meeting Sophia was the best thing that ever happened to me. We were married 3 years later and expecting our first child when I received my dental degree. I, of course, owe Tufts a debt of gratitude as I like to say I not only got my degree there but also got my wife. Sophia and I love Tufts Dental and we always look forward to getting together with our friends and colleagues.
