The Division of Dental Sleep Medicine is offering a comprehensive full time Fellowship Program. Adhering to the guidelines of professional academies, the program will focus on the interactions of Dental Sleep Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Temporomandibular Disorders and the role of the dentist in the screening and treatment of Sleep Disorders. The Fellow will be able develop an understanding of the underlying pathogenesis and interactions with oral and systemic health in these patients. The clinical parts include performing a full Dental, Sleep and TMD history including medical systems, examination of the head, face and neck for assessing the anatomical and physiological structures related to airway, review and understanding of Polysomnograms and formulating an interdisciplinary treatment plan in conjunction with other medical providers.
Fellows will have active participation in extensive sleep lecture series, journal club, research seminars and interdisciplinary case conferences. There will be live patient interaction and medical rotations in the Sleep Laboratory, ENT and Pulmonary Departments throughout the year.
