About Us
The Persian Association of Student-Dentists And Dentists (PASDAD) has been established with the effort of Reza Madani D’99. He, along with other associates, began to organize the Persian club in 1996. The major goal is to unify the Iranian students and dentists, regardless of their religious and political interests, and familiarize the Tufts community with Persian culture.
The great goal of PASDAD in the future is to establish the Iranian-American Dentists Association of Northeast (IADAN) through TUFTS School of Dental Medicine.
Membership
Any of the TUSDM students, faculty, and staff who is interested in Persian culture is welcome to join the club. There is no membership fee to join the PASDAD.

Norooz, Persian New Year, is the most remarkable and symbolic cultural event for Iranian all over the world. Therefore, celebrating such a great event in school and representing the cultural aspects to other students and faculty with a sweet taste of Iran is an important task. PASDAD has celebrated the Persian New Year, Norooz, every year in the student lounge since 1996.
Other social gatherings such as PASDAD members’ graduation and birthday parties have been celebrated in past years. PASDAD also celebrate Sizdah Bedar, the 13th day of Persian New Year picnic, and Charshanbeh Soori, the last Wednesday of Persian year firework.
Affiliation
PASDAD affiliation with Iranian-American Medical Association chapter of Massachusetts (IAMA/MA) helps to enhance the unity among its members. PASDAD is in contact with Persian club of MIT, Northeastern University, Boston and Harvard School of Dental Medicine to set up mixers for their members.
PASDAD will host the Persian interviewees in the future.
