Engaging Students in the New Wellness Curriculum

Faculty members at TUSDM continue to engage students in new ways using an online assessment tool, giving both faculty and students immediate feedback. This shift centers on an active learning and constructivist approach where learning and teaching perspectives represent a shift from viewing learners as responding to external stimuli to seeing learners as “active in constructing their own knowledge” and an understanding that “social interactions are important in knowledge construction”. This shift engages the learner by connecting them to the new content and helps them build an understanding of facts, ideas and skills that are involved in the learning process.

Med Ed Portal

Submit Your Work for Publication

Tufts University School of Dental Medicine strongly encourages faculty to publish their work and Med Ed Portal provides an avenue to do this. Faculty can also browse peer reviewed manuscripts to learn about the latest research in their field. Membership is free.
