What is the Clinical Advancement Ceremony?
This annual ceremony is for second-year dental students and their families. It formalizes and symbolizes the transition of pre-doctoral dental students from basic and pre-clinical education, to the rendering of patient care in the School's clinics.
Ceremony Format:
The ceremony will be conducted at the Marriott Boston Copley Place located at 110 Huntington Avenue. The ceremony begins promptly at 9:00am with the student processional and will last for approximately two hours. Each student will be photographed after receiving his or her white coat in the company of Dean Lonnie Norris and Associate Dean James Hanley. After the ceremony there will be a luncheon for all students and guests.
Additional Information:
The School has reserved a block of rooms at the Marriot Copley at the rate of $179 per night for single and double rooms. Triples and quads are also available at a discounted rate. For hotel reservations at the Marriott please call (800)228-9290 or (617)236-5800 and reference the Tufts Dental School room block as well as the date of the ceremony.
