Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Journal Club

Mission Statement

The primary goal of the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Journal Club (OMSJC) is to expand the knowledge and exposure of its members to the field of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. OMSJC will utilize all available resources; including past and current journal articles, faculty, guest speakers, residents, and its own student members to achieve this goal. Staying up to date with current research and procedures makes for well-rounded health professionals and only furthers the quality of care available to our patient pool.

A second but equally important goal of the OMSJC is to establish a support network that will unite students interested in the field with current faculty and residents. This will allow suggestions, questions, and advice pertaining to the application/interview process may be shared openly. Early exposure to oral surgery coupled with the advice of the experienced, will allow students to begin taking the necessary steps to improve their candidacy and gain a competitive advantage during the application process.

The OMSJC welcomes all interested students regardless of their post-graduate plans.
