Tufts Dental Fund

The Tufts Dental Fund is the annual fund to which alumni, parents, friends and students make unrestricted gifts for current use to support daily life at the school for students and faculty. The Dental Fund touches all areas of the school including financial aid, faculty development and facility maintenance. This support allows Dean Norris to address needs as they arise. The generosity of annual donors helps maintain Tufts' strong reputation for providing a top-notch dental education.

2007-2008 Goal: For fiscal year 2007-2008, the Tufts Dental Fund goal is to raise $1,450,000 from more than 2,150 individuals. Tufts' fiscal year runs July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2008.

Dental M Club

Leadership donors to the Tufts Dental Fund contribute through the Dental M Club program. Last year, more than 600 alumni, parents and friends chose to make a significant impact on Tufts by joining the M Club with a gift of $1,000 or more. Our generous M Club level donors contribute more than 80% of the money raised by the Dental Fund annually. M Club members give at a number of gift levels, contributing to the vitality of the school and helping to grow the reputation of Tufts Dental School. Members are recognized annually in the Record of Giving and on the M Club plaque in the lobby of the school. Membership is renewed on an annual basis. The Dental M Club was founded in 1975, the first of Tufts University's giving societies. Dean's Inner Circle

The Dean's Inner Circle is the most prestigious level of giving within the Dental M Club. Building on the M Club's 30-year tradition, The Dean's Inner Circle was established in 1998 to offer donors the opportunity to lead the way in supporting current initiatives at the dental school. Members are given special recognition through an extra listing in the donor report and on the M Club plaque, as well as a lapel pin provided at school events.

Levels of the Dental M Club

Dean's Inner Circle: $100 x the number of years since graduation. For example, in the current 2007-08 fiscal year, members of D83 would give $2,500.
President's Circle: $25,000 or more
Society of Tufts Fellows: $10,000-$24,999
Dean's Leadership Group: $5,000-$9,999
Dean's Dental Associates: $2,500-$4,999
Dental M Leadership: $1,500-$2,499
Dental M Associates: $1,000-$1,499

Members of the M Club Executive Committee are vital to the Dental Fund's success each year. Their time and financial commitments to the school are appreciated by every member of the Tufts Dental community.

Reunion Class Giving Update

Reunions often inspire alumni to make a gift over and above the support they provide TUSDM in other years through the Tufts Dental Fund.  Reunion classes' gifts typically make up 1/3 of the total unrestricted dollars raised in a given year. The school relies heavily on these resources.  For an update on how this year's reunion classes are doing with fundraising, please visit the Reunion Class Giving page  often.  Make your own gift and spread the word to help your class break a record!

The Dental Fund is the annual fund to which alumni, parents, faculty, friends and students of Tufts Dental School make unrestricted gifts for current use.  The fiscal year is July 1-June 30. 

5 Yr. Class Gift (C&A) is the sum of all gifts made by a class to any designation at Tufts Dental School (capital and annual) since their last reunion. This includes both capital and annual gifts. 

Dental Fund Reunion Gift is the sum of all unrestricted annual gifts made by a class during a reunion year.
