The Tufts Dental Fund is the annual fund to which alumni, parents, faculty, friends, and students make unrestricted gifts for current use to support daily life at the school. It touches all areas of the institution including student financial aid, faculty development, and facility maintenance. Annual gifts are put to use immediately for enhancing current operations and addressing needs as they arise throughout the year. Tufts' fiscal year begins each July 1 and ends June 30.

“Each generation in the history of the school has made it possible for the next generation to go even further.” — Dean Lonnie H. Norris DG80, M99P, A01P

Overview

Among the strongest performing dental school annual funds in the country, the Tufts Dental Fund is an ongoing philanthropic statement made collectively by the Tufts Dental community. Every annual fund gift is both a tribute, honoring the dental school's past achievements, and a meaningful contribution, setting the stage for all that Tufts will accomplish during this and future years.

Consider annual fund support at Tufts in recent years, and ponder the possibilities for the future:

The Tufts Dental Fund surpassed the $1 million mark in 2003 and has experienced steady growth since. The goals for the current fiscal year (FY10) are to raise $1,400,000 from at least 2,100 individuals. Your participation matters each and every year.

Campaign

Beyond Boundaries: The Campaign for Tufts is a $1.2 billion university-wide campaign with an aim to increase financial aid, endow professorships, improve and expand facilities, and increase community outreach. The dental school’s campaign goal is $40 million, of which $12 million is projected from annual gifts made through the Tufts Dental Fund.

The Dean’s Inner Circle

The Tufts Dental Fund has achieved impressive increases each year since the introduction of the Dean’s Inner Circle level of giving in 1998. Because these gifts grow each year, they are especially helpful in keeping pace with the rising costs of education. Members are given special recognition on donor listings and at events. The opportunity is now available for making a multiyear pledge of support at this level.
