New Patient Information/Overview
How do I become a new patient at Tufts Dental School ?
For the Undergraduate Clinic, call 617-636-6828 to make a New Patient appointment.
For the Graduate Clinic call 617-636-6888.
What should I expect during that first appointment?
During your initial appointment a faculty member and a student dentist will take a brief medical and dental history, do a preliminary screening exam, and take a complete set of x-rays if needed. This first appointment will take between two and three hours.
If you have recent dental x-rays you may wish to bring them with you.
During this initial appointment you will meet the faculty member that will oversee your care, and later be assigned to a student dentist responsible for your comprehensive care. Your student dentist will phone you shortly after this visit to schedule your next appointment.
What happens next?
You will meet your student dentist and receive a comprehensive oral exam. Your student dentist and a faculty member will review your x-rays and discuss your treatment plan. This appointment and most subsequent appointments will last approximately three hours.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete registration.
It is the policy of Tufts Dental Clinic that " Payment is expected at the time of, or in advance of, treatment " unless other arrangements have been made through the Clinic Business Office.
We accept most dental insurance, as well as Master Card, Visa and Discover.
